It's been a little while since I've had to take photos at home, so forgive me if these aren't as great as some of my other posts. Hopefully Ruby's cuteness makes up for my lack of skill with the camera settings. Anyway, today I'd like to share with you another one of my Instagram successes! Just like when I struck a deal with my local Clinique distributors, I was scrolling through Instagram when I stumbled upon a lovely handmade copper necklace with the word "love," hand stamped on it. As I read the descriptions of each photo I discovered that the copper was not coated with any finishing products. This intrigued me, as I'd heard of the healing properties of copper before.
According to Jewelryinfoplace.com, when copper is in direct contact with the skin, the micro-nutrient properties of copper enter the bloodstream through the skin as a copper salt, resulting from a mix of body oils and acids, and the chelated copper picked up from the copper source. It is very important the use pure copper, which is defined as 99.9% copper with trace elements of tin and zinc, which are also beneficial metals. Some wearers of copper jewelry find it relieves the symptoms of arthritis, circulation problems, and more.
Curious to learn more and try this out myself, I decided to message Erin about her designs. I was actually a bit surprised by how quickly she responded, enthusiastic about sending me a necklace with a custom word of my choice! So, I thought about it for a day and messages her back with my final decision: always. Now, I know Alan Rickman has been gone for more than a few weeks already but his departure is still fresh in my mind. Just like in the books when Snape confesses his devotion to Lily, Alan Rickman's portrayal of Severus will forever stay in my memory as an important definition of love.
It wasn't long before I received the pretty little thing in the mail. Complete with a lovely handwritten card, a business card, and a special cloth for polishing, Erin Paige Designs really gave me the feeling of a touching and caring experience. I can easily imagine giving her jewelry as a gift to my mom, grandma, or even a good friend.
Each unique, handcrafted necklace is made with a 2 inch copper bar, hanging on approximately 17 inches of sterling silver. Now, I don't have arthritis and don't know for certain if this necklace is helping out with my circulation yet (which is quite poor since I sit at home for most of the day), but I do know that it's pleasant to wear and gets noticed by those who pay attention to detail. I've already been asked a few times, "Why always? Always what?" and each time it reminds me of that special feeling all Harry Potter fans had at some point. It's a warm feeling that brings a smile to my face because I know that I believe such a love is real.
For anybody still on the lookout for a great mother's day gift, I encourage to try any of Erin Paige's designs. It'll be not only a beautiful and personal gift, but one which has a history of healing powers. Her products ship out of Kansas, USA to anywhere in the world.
