So many times a week I see secretaries and well-to-do office managers trying to pull off the whole "day after in my boyfriend's button-up," look, but failing miserably. These ladies are trying to disguise the fact that they're wearing a man's shirt by belting it at the belly, tucking the thing into their pencil skirt, or simply giving up on the idea of looking good at all!
This is why when I woke up this morning with no clean laundry besides this men's button-up I said to myself, "why the hell not?" Worn over skinny or straight-leg jeans, a men's shirt can easily be pulled off as an intentional "oversized top." And yes, it's office appropriate. See how below...
Since my entire ensemble was rocking that baby blue and white, I had to kick in some color! I chose my lime green leather purse from Bata and legendary red-orange lipstick by Revlon.
For accessories I mized metals with earth-materials to bring the baby blue and denims back down from the pastel skies. I've been mixing leathers and woods with metals a lot lately... have you tried it?
