For this week's #fashionablefriends we have a guest post by a couple of Texan dolls, Flip Flops & Furs.
Amber & Sarah are lifestyle bloggers from Texas.
I first found them on Facebook after looking for some cool blogger to collaborate with. Other than their classy fashion choices, Amber & Sarah caught my eye with their great fitness tips.
Check out their blog Flip Flops & Furs if you like their style and follow their adventures on Instagram.
Crop tops are still everywhere. Those of you that thought they were going away... you're wrong!! We personally love the crop top at FF&F's. It is on trend, summery, cool and can totally look like you're not trying too hard. Many of you probably think you have to have washboard abs or be under the age of 25 or something to wear the crop top but the look doesn't have to be so intimidating. If 'crop top' makes you think of Britney Spears in the 90's... rest easy... here are some ways to wear it without showing the world your belly button.
**Disclaimer** There is one picture of a belly button and we know that is for a little more daring/non rule following soul ;-) !! Like a woman that laughs too loud in small spaces...or you know, whatever…
Here it is paired with a more conservative bottom AND a high waist so not so much skin is showing... and the arms are covered!!! The pencil skirt is always considered somewhat sophisticated. So, we've kind of got Rihanna on top and Cate Blanchett on bottom...nice little combo!!!
This is FOR SURE belly baring but paired with baggy boyfriend jeans and feminine lace, it feels a little more boho/hippy and styled for something on the beach!! And FOR SURE don't show cleavage AND a bare belly...nobody misses Christina Aguilera circa Genie In A Bottle.
Want to make this look your own? Go see Marina's twist on Polyvore.
And this is still very ladylike with a classic, high waist skirt and boxy top. The top is not skin tight allowing for only a hint of skin and the shoes make the outfit look so chic!!!
This look is great for work or even a business meeting. Make it your own with a little splash of red.
