My brother came to visit on his annual Eurotrip this weekend. Although his jet lag is quite heavy, I convinced him to come to the French Market with me today... aka, the perfect opportunity to debut my new blush pink dress that my auntie sent me for my birthday (btw, thank you again!).
The French Market Le Marché is an annual attraction that brings all the Czech Frenchies (and a few real ones) to one very desirable location for wine, cheese, and Czech singers doing covers of classic chansons. Much like the Parisian streets I had the opportunity to see just two weeks ago, this market was put up in a narrow area in the middle of Kampa Island, just below Charles Bridge.
Misko and I enjoyed two escargots each, a glass of delicious Rosé wine, a variety of patés from Southern France, and a variety of delicious "le fromage" cheeses. Yum!
In celebration of the beautiful weather, I decided to top my little pink dress with a fake kimono (it's actually a robe from Forever21 - not for outdoor wear) and matchy suede fringed shoes and purse. Needless to say, this combination turned out to be quite a head turner for both ladies in their twenties and groups of single boys on their first Eurotrip... just the way I like it. Make the girls jealous and the boys too scared to talk to you :)
As for hair and makeup, in the spirit of the French I kept it simple. Just a dash of rose powder on the creases of my eyes and my usual black cat eyeliner with soft curls in my hair. This look could have also done well with a pouty red lip, but in the last minute I opted to go with clear gloss instead so I'd be more free to sip on whatever wine I desired, worry and smudge free.
