Okay, I'll admit it. I'm a bit late on the whole sneaker trend. My excuse is that I've never really been much of a "tennis shoe" person because of the orthopedic trauma of my childhood. Butas of a few weeks ago, it's been made official that I will be living on a tropical island for the month of October. I'll be having plenty of free time, which I would love to spend exploring nature and towns. The more I try to enjoy my final days in Prague, the more I start to realize that I not only need sneaker for fashion, but for practical use.
But of course there is one teeny tiny problem: I fell in love with a pair of sneaker that are no longer sold in stores. Two pairs actually. Both my plan A (New Balance 420 in Tomboy, sold at Nordstrom) and plan B (New Balance 420 in Slate) are no longer manufactured, and are scarce even on sites like ebay. Yikes! What it is I love about these? Well they are the perfect shades of blue, fine for earth tone outfits as well as pastels. My favorite color is that greenish yellow you see on the Tomboys, but I also love the girly combo of the Slate's melon accent. I'm a big fan of the accent color running along the full length of the shoe. But sadly, they are gone.
So, I've been forced to come up with some alternatives.
The Alternative: Blue, New Balance
