Workwear Warrior

And here I go again, singing the same old song about not being at my blog as often as I would like. Life gets in the way sometimes, and there's not much I can do about that. After all, this blog is run completely by me and my energy to go out and do it. In three weeks I'll be on a plane to California for my mom's graduation and the stress involved with that has been eating at my daily motivation capacity. California is an expensive place to be, and the San Francisco Bay Area (where I used to live) is now proclaimed more expensive than New York City. Needless to say, I'm only telling you this because I need you to understand... I've been busy werkin'. Last week I made somewhere over 400 Euros just by translating one document, doing some copy for an app, selling some clothes on Vinted, and being my bf's personal copywriter. That's more than some people make in a month here in the Czech Republic! I may be the family hippie, but I know how to make a dollar when I need one. Needless to say, my energy has been a bit drained from all that writing!

Since I'm working so much I might as well dress the part, right? A while ago I decided to stop looking for an office job, in favor for the freelance life. It's nice to be able to work from home, saving precious coins on coffee and tram tickets, but sometimes a freelancer really does need to get out of the house! Personally, my favorite place to get shit done is at a coffee shop or bistro where the drinks are tasty and the servers don't treat me differently because I've got a laptop with me. Having people around seems to motivate me to actually focus on the task instead of getting sidetracked into creating new playlists on Spotify or doing some other mindless thing (although I'd love for playlists to be my paying job!).

In respect to the annual all-white trend, I'm joining the bandwagon in this oversized button up (get yours here), white skinny pants from Mango (or you can try these), topped with a longline blazer I bought from a girl who goes to school in the UK. If you're into the blazer, I recommend trying out this similar navy blue double breasted Malena by Selected, luxurious creamy Asos number, or this spicy red one from Yoins. My shoes are the same silver babies you've seen in my Pillbox Hat outfit post and Pink Fuzzy Everything look. My handbag is a second-hand piece, but there are plenty of options online if you look hard enough. For example, I found this black one on Amazon and this sporty version at Topshop.

But enough about me... I want to know what the rest of the working-girl bloggers wear to their jobs! Let me know in the comments down under ;)
